So I proudly stepped in to the 100th day of the cereal quest. I got up and went downstairs only to realise I was cereal-less. Pride over. I was fairly annoyed at myself for what is a big oversight in the ‘eating cereal daily’ world but like a dodgy plumber who had previously been unhelpful but now been threatened with a law suit I was quick to sort things out. I left for work extra early so I could pop to the shop to get cereal and milk before hand and eat when I got there. I was overjoyed to see these tasty treats on offer:
Coco Pops Coco Rocks.
They come packaged neatly in a small 390G box which humourously and ambitiously claims it contains 13 servings. Good one. They are a mixture of crunchy chocolate flavour balls and more oval shaped crispy chocolatey nuggets that contain a smooth Nutella like chocolate spread filling. As you may have noticed with any Kellogg’s cereal at the moment they claim to be delicious hot. We will probably find out. My first bowl was lovely partly because I would have usually eaten breakfast 2 hours previous so had worked up a hunger by driving impeccably whilst remaining focused. It is a Monday so I knew I had a 3 bowler on my hands and soon after breakfast came my lunch time serving. It was great again, no replacement for a savoury treat such as a Tesco All Day Breakfast Sandwich but it was tasty. They stay crunchy right till the very end. By 4.30ish I was ready for my 3rd bowl of the day, I looked at the box and wondered if Kellogg’s had intended ‘Coco Pops Coco Rocks’ as a statement rather than a name for a product (despite them clearly making it seem like the latter) and decided to test the theory that the ‘Coco’ or ‘cocoa’ may well be ‘delicious hot’. I ate my 3rd bowl carefully ensuring minimal milk on each spoonful so it left me with milk that had been turned chocolatey. I then poured the milk in to a mug and microwaved until it was hot enough to burn my top lip. I checked it, I got burnt, it was ready:
There wasn’t too much but that’s because I was using the milk from work and didn’t want to be the person who finished it. The Coco (hot chocolate) drink that was produced was delicious, it was so good, they really should sell it as a separate product. It was a delight.
I had heard that drink is the best milk for exercise so with that in mind and 3 bowls of Kellogg’s Coco Pops Coco Rocks in my stomach I headed out to play football. My daughter had suggested I would score 2 goals. I most certainly didn’t. I did however manage to absolutely batter my toe. It really really hurts, even the duvet resting on it is agonising. I am such a wimp.
